Thermal Week VI 2013, a set on Flickr.
Fun was had by all at Thermal last week as Michelle's new golf cart and others flew (except Janet's which creeped) throughout the property from "hunterland' to the Grand Prix field as we all cheered on the Fieldstone team.
A couple of riders were learning about new horses and others were perfecting their older mounts. There were many spectacular rounds and not once was there a involuntary dismount!
"Aha" moments were plentiful and Michelle, along with Teal, Zoey, Julie Manakas, and Stacy were always at the rings with masterful coordination. The "board photo" each morning was a godsend for all. What did we do before iphones? Don't answer.
Our grooms were amazing. No girth-less saddles, (who remembers that?) or broken tack. The precision of Norberto and his team was about perfect. They even had to deal with the "bug" that some of the horses got on top of it all. Thank you, guys.
Food was a plenty with Betsy's special cookies, Robin's cupcakes, Anita and Gina's spaghetti night, Marsha and Sarah's overstuffed refrigerator and snack foods galore. Nobody starved. Thanks, all of you.
Congratulations to Jessica on her Classic win on Sunday in a huge class and Emma was Champion on Crimson in her age Hunter Division. Way to go, girls.
Haulin' Hooves did a wonderful job getting the horses all there and home safely despite a bump or two. Thank you for your hard work.
We love you, Michelle for your dedication to your horses and riders, and their families.
Despite some rain and some wind, actually, a lot of wind one day, it was another successful year at HITS and I can't wait for next year!
